A House Wren brings an insect back to its nest to feed its young at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. I watched the House Wren parents for hours as they went out to the field to get bugs, then landed on this wire near the nest before entering the nest or passing the bug to the parent already in the nest. The bird nest was inside a crack in an old fence post at one of the entrances to the refuge. This image was a finalist in the National Wildlife Refuge Association's 2005 photo contest.
