This Belted Kingfisher gorges itself on fish it plucks out of the show pond at the fish hatchery. I've watched it catch fish, after fish, after fish, until I thought it wouldn't be able to fly because of all the weight in its belly! In back of the hatchery, near the fish rearing ponds, I've counted seven kingfishers, which makes me wonder how the hatchery manages to raise any fish at all!
