A Great Blue Heron quietly stalks its prey on a foggy morning at Bosque del Apache as the sun rises, while thousands of Snow Geese and Sandhill Cranes take flight. This photo won a fifth place in the National Wildlife Refuge Association's 2007 photo contest.
