A female Pyrrhuloxia perches in the leafless branches of a desert plant in winter. Pyrrhuloxia's are very common in the mornings near the feeders at San Pedro House in the San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area. The trick is to wait for them to land on an unobscured perch near the feeder.
