A Sandhill Crane foraging for food in one of the fields at the Bosque. During midday, when most of the cranes are feeding in the corn fields, it's time to cruise the refuge roads to see what else might be found. The Southern loop of the refuge is not as productive as the north loop and it's a lot quieter down there, but you can still find interesting things. This Sandhill Crane wasn't too far from the road and made an interesting subject for this photograph.
