A Sandhill Crane pauses to reflect as it moves from one corn field to another. It was one of those days where the cranes were far from sight except for a small group near the road, but they had their heads to the ground pecking away for corn. But then the whole group decided to move from the corner of one cornfield to the corner of another, so they headed toward me in a single file line. They had to pass in front of some shaded bushes, which is what made the dark background and made this an interesting photograph.
