An Osprey perched on a snag scans the pond below for fish. Osprey are regulars at this Refuge and I found this one near sunset at one of their favorite perches. They do a little thing with their head, bobbing it back and forth, which I've heard is a way for them to somehow help find prey. I once watched one with a catfish in one claw swoop down from this perch and catch another fish in its other claw!
