On a beautiful sunny day in Winter, this Red-Winged Blackbird perched less than 15 feet away from me. I did have to contend with wind, which kept moving the bird back and forth in and out of focus and caused the reeds to sometimes be in the way.

Lens used: Canon 600mm lens at 1200mm (using a 2X teleconverter)
Exposure Data:
ISO 100.
1/60 at f/8.
Av exposure mode (Aperture Priority).
