A Sedona landscape of some of the old ranch buildings at Crescent Moon Ranch near Cathedral Rock before sunset. Cathedral Rock is the most popular landmark near Sedona, AZ and Crescent Moon is the best place to see it.
Before the Forest Service bought the ranch in the 1980’s, fruit trees and other produce grew along the banks of Oak Creek. Red Rock Crossing, a small bridge across the creek at the ranch, connected the West side of Sedona to Verde Valley School Road in the Village of Oak Creek. I remember driving my truck across the creek in the late 1970’s. The creek at Red Rock Crossing was a popular place for people to relax by the water in Summer.
